Alexis Bistro & Wine bar (KL, 30/12/2007)

Went to Alexis while in KL, a new mall somehow connected to mid valley, called the Garden. Nice new mall with many branded stuff. There is mark & spencer there and banana republic, levis and many other brands. One of my friends went off to do the shopping in Mark & Spencer, and another friend found Alexis in this mall, we are all very excited...because we can "lure" him out from shopping with his favourite Tiramisu cake at Alexis.

During our visit, this place is only around one week old. Greeted by very polite service crew whom find us a nice and cosy corner which we chilled there for more than 2 hours without realizing. As usual, food photos for reference. I must say the food are served hot and local food are nice and spicy. Now then I realized we did not actually took the main attractive to Alexis, Tiramisu cake.

This is some of the varieties of food you can find when you stay in Traders Hotel, KL during breakfast buffet.
Highly recommended by the manager there, prawns are quite fresh, but the group of us feel that it is not fresh enough. According to the manager, the prawns we took in some restaurant which are chewy and tasted very fresh is because the chef soaked them in soda water. So if anyone is free, can go experience and confirm this theory :)
Mushroom cream or something like that.
Mee siam, local stuff. I remembered it is sour.

Mussles are fresh, but I find the pasta ok only, not very fantastic.

Laksa, spicy and sour. One of my friends said it tasted like some "nong hiang" (wu xiang) taste.

Some kind of fried rice which apparently all of us forget the name. My handsome friend said that it is nice and have salted fish.

Anyway, I will give this place a visit again when I am in KL. But other than nice food, nice friends need to be there to perfect the makan session.

I saw more pictures on their malacca Nonya food, which I had posted some few months back for my visit 2 years back. I so envy my friends as I do not get to eat them :(

I might come back with the pictures of what my friends ate in Malacca.
