There is a place I must recommend for those whom are visiting Malacca soon. This place which I like the food is call "Donald & Lily". It is behind Jonker street, away from the crowded shophouses and busy street filled with so many "chicken rice balls" shop.
This is the outside view of the shop.

Before walking up the stairs to get a table, you will see the below sign on your right. It seems a bit dark before you reached the top level from below. But I think you will like the place if you like to see old display.

There are 2 sitting place upstair. I will call them sitting area (outside & inside). When you are there, you will know what I mean. This is the board above sitting area (outside) before your go to sitting area (inside).

This is a must try. Chendol (RM$1.30 I think), big one is RM$2.00. Good for a hot day especially :)

This is the curry chicken. As you can see, the curry is very oily. Does not suit my taste definitely. But my friend said it is not bad.

This is the nonya rojak (if I am not wrong). Consist of fried dao gua (bean curd), pineapple, cucumber, fish cake. Some chilli (not too hot) and a special sauce with a unique taste. You might not like it at first, but you might grow to like it.

Laksa with fishball and dao pok. Simple and taste very "coconut". Smell nice. If you are a curry fan, you should like this. It is served hot and I had 2 bowl of them despite my stomach flu :P

There are nasi lemak, mee siam (dry style), but when I was there that day, we are only given the above choices. I suppose this eating place do not want to prepare too much varieties for the day. I was there about 12pm. Luckily I was there early as there was a huge crowd whom came in without seats. I had experience previously at around 2pm, there are not much food left.
The eating place is full of different staff of different nationality. India uncle whom you can order chendol and drink. A nice lady in spec (I suppose she is the owner) will come serve you or her helpers. This is a place for tourists and local people. I like this place very much.
Not far from here (in another direction), there is a Nancy kitchen, which serve nonya food which are not too bad, but a bit pricey. I do not have the pictures to show you, but perhaps next time when my other friends visit Malacca. They might go there, but my top choice will still be "Donald & Lily"
