First time I have experience with taxi uncle whom reacts like this. The moment I flagged down the cab, I regretted as the way he slowed down and stopped infront of me (not BESIDE me hor...), I actually can conclude this is a wrong cab to choose. I normally will stand by the roadside to choose my cab...judging from a distance and the speed the cab move towards me, then I will flagged down the one I like. Anyway, this is another issue which is too boring to touch on. If you are an expert like me to take cab most of the time, you will know what I mean...

Ok, back to the cab uncle (speaking in mandarin)

Uncle: Good morning (zao an)

Me: Good morning, Wheelock place pls, by AYE and exit portsdown ave (I did not continue my instructions bcos most cab driver cannot absorb all at one go)

**** Complete silence ****

After entering the expressway (at least 8 mins later...heading to Clementi)...

Uncle: Exit at North Bouna vista har?? (Monotone, robotic voice)

Me: NO!! It's Portsdown ave, after North Bouna vista (felt my blood pressure suddenly went higher....)

I was like "What's wrong with this uncle?? What took him at least 8 mins later to respond and ask for directions again????

**** Complete silence AGAIN****

I noticed that uncle keep left after North Bouna vista so I am confident that he know he must turn to Portsdown ave....Suddenly his voice breaks the peace mind of mine!!!!

Uncle: Turn here hor????
(At this very moment, I really feel like shouting at him that you do not know where you are driving is it??? Can't you see the signs yourself??? and it is so near to the turn and if you dun ask, dun tell me you are driving straight and go into ERP!!!!!!!!!)

But I am pleased with myself not doing that as I am trying to curb my temper and not to spoil my mood....I replied "yes", in a very calm manner although that thought of scolding him actually went through my mind...
